Introduction
Data Health Systems, Inc. (DHS) recognized a need to create a real-time, secured processing environment in healthcare enabling business process integration between trading partners and compliance with regulatory requirements imposed by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). 		The emergence of eBusiness and passage of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 create new demands on organizations to maintain their competitive position and identify basic changes in how business partners need to interact.

DHS Xchange™ is a suite of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), Application and Integration products that direct-connects healthcare trading partners and enterprise systems; delivering a real-time network to satisfy customer business process integration requirements and HIPAA mandates. The technology is designed to take full advantage of the cost savings and efficiencies promised by HIPAA.

It is a modular EDI transaction processing and data management system constructed for healthcare. The flexible nature of the design allows for deployment in a combination of centrally managed or distributed environments. DHS Xchange is platform independent and can run on a majority of mainframes, industry standard servers and desktops. The applications can be implemented as standalone products or as fully integrated business solutions.
Our Operational Data Store (ODS) is the foundation for enabling new applications, performing data management tasks, coordinating business intelligence and data mining activity, and tracking and linking transactions in the system, including revenue cycle events.
